# How can I be certain that my brokerage account statements are accurate if you are both the custodian of my account and the adviser of my investments?

## As a fiduciary we are legally bound to act in your best interest.

Secfi is your advisor, but we are not the custodian of your assets. Your accounts are held at Altruist, an independent custodian that provides your official brokerage statements.

As your fiduciary advisor, we are legally bound to act in your best interest and to ensure full transparency around your investments. You can always cross-check our reporting against the statements provided directly by Altruist. If any discrepancies arise, we will work with you and Altruist to resolve them promptly.
