# How do I transfer money over for you to manage it?

## We'll be there to guide you through the process. Once your account is setup we'll initiate an ACAT to transfer funds.

1. **Altruist Account Setup**: First, we'll get your account(s) set up in Altruist, our chosen custodial platform.
2. **Approval Email from Altruist**: Once your Altruist account is established, you'll receive an email from Altruist, the platform we use for managing your investments. This email will contain requests to approve the opening of your Altruist accounts.
3. **Approval Process**: Click on the provided links or follow the instructions in the email to approve the account openings. Your approval is a necessary step to initiate the transfer.
4. **ACAT Process**: With your approval in place, Secfi can initiate the ACAT ("Automated Customer Account Transfer") process. ACAT is a secure and automated system used in the financial industry to transfer assets between accounts.
5. **Transfer Facilitation**: The ACAT process facilitates the seamless transfer of your assets from your existing accounts to the new Altruist accounts under our management.

We'll be there to guide you through this process every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition of your funds.
